New Webcast on Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education

The quality of higher education is one of the priorities of IESALC and that is why the second webcast of the series dedicated to higher education issues presents the latest comparative report on the agencies responsible for ensuring the quality of higher education institutions, on a global scale: Quality assurance and accreditation criteria in higher education. International perspectives.

Presented by the director of IESALC, Francesc Pedró, this webcast summarizes the aforementioned study based on questions that seek to answer issues such as the evolution of higher education governance in the world, the similarities between quality agencies and between accreditation criteria and common accreditation criteria, as well as problems shared internationally.

This comparative study was carried out with the support of the Colombian Ministry of Education and was presented at the II International Forum on Quality Assurance in Higher Education 2020. This study contributes to understand the operation and importance of these agencies as well as their challenges in the future.
