The United Nations Academic Impact Initiative (UNAI) has been organizing global conversations in multiple languages with educators, researchers and students to discuss priorities for the future, obstacles to achieving them, and the role of international academic cooperation in addressing and managing global challenges. Within the framework of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Digital Dialogues series, UNAI jointly with the Universidad Nacional de Rosario, a member institution in Argentina that also serves as UNAI’s Center for SDG 13: Climate Action, invites you to participate in the following event:

Title: Fighting Climate Change: Actions From The Universities

Date: Thursday, September 16, 2021 (within the framework of the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer)

Time: 10am to 11:30 am [New York time]

Registration form / form: https://bit.ly/unai16sep

Objective: This online seminar seeks to examine the vision that higher education institutions have about the challenge that climate change represents for humanity, to make visible the actions carried out by such institutions in terms of teaching, research and extension on climate change, as well as visualizing potential opportunities to increase the role of university in the search for innovative solutions that allow us to face climate change and mitigate its consequences.
