La mala educación / Ojo Público

Hace unos días, la ministra de Economía, María Antonieta Alva, dejó en claro la batalla que hay detrás de la implementación de la reforma universitaria. “Quisiera hacer un llamado especial, un llamado a defender la reforma universitaria, que muchas veces está siendo sometida a boicots. Muchos jóvenes y sus familias están haciendo esfuerzos para acceder a la educación superior y están siendo estafados, y eso no lo podemos permitir”, dijo en el evento económico con más poder en el Perú, la Conferencia Anual de Ejecutivos – CADE 2019.

La reforma de la educación universitaria es una de las tareas más urgentes y pendientes del Estado. Sin embargo, su impulso generó el rechazo de un grupo de centros privados con vínculos en el disuelto Congreso de la República, e incluso, motivó el 2016 la censura del entonces ministro Jaime Saavedra, por parte de la exbancada fujimorista. Detrás de la oposición a la nueva Ley Universitaria estaba el temor de un sector que durante años ha lucrado con la educación y temía perder parte de los millonarios ingresos que obtienen de beneficios como las exoneraciones tributarias.

«La mala educación» aborda historias sobre lo que está detrás de estos privilegios fiscales, el negocio sobre la calidad educativa, y cómo este sistema terminó afectando los sueños y expectativas de cientos de universitarios.
