Universidad San Carlos de Guatemala (USAC)

Documentation required in order to initiate the recognition process

An Application Form must be submitted to the USAC along with the following documents:

1. Original and photocopy of the personal identification document.

2. Original and photocopy of the professional degree, which must be duly authenticated by the competent authorities of the country of the issuing Institution and the corresponding diplomatic channels. (The qualification of the degree and Institution must be done as a first step in the process of Incorporation of the file).

3. Original and copy of the program of studies of the foreign educational entity that also accredits the duration of the same. This last point presents requirements regarding the minimum duration, which vary depending on whether it is a doctorate or a master’s degree.
