Resolución del 24 de marzo 2021 emanada por el Ministerio de Universidades/Secretaría General de Universidades (Resolution of March 24, 2021 issued by the Ministry of Universities/General Secretariat of Universities) instructing the prompt homologation of bachelor’s and master’s degree studies obtained abroad of any nationality, provided that the previous training required to pursue the studies leading to the degree to be subject to homologation or declaration of equivalence has been pursued in Spain, and provided that they are scientific, technical and research personnel whose hiring has been proposed by R&D&I centers or  emerging business projects of a specific and innovative nature based in Spanish territory. Once these application requirements have been met, the request for speed in the processing of these files must be channeled through the Oficina Española de Retorno (Spanish Returning  Office), attached to the Directorate General for Migration.

Documentation required to activate the recognition process

The application must be accompanied by the following documentation:

1. Document proving the identity and nationality of the applicant, issued by the competent authorities of the country of origin or provenance or by the competent Spanish authorities in matters of immigration. In the case of Spanish citizens, the national identity document or authorization to verify the identity data held by the Administration;

2. Title whose Declaration of Equivalence is requested or the certification of its issuance and, if applicable, the corresponding official translation;

3. Academic certification of the studies carried out to obtain the degree, stating, among other things, the official duration in academic years of the study plan followed, the subjects taken and the total hourly load of each one of them expressed in hours or in ECTS (European) credits and, if applicable, the corresponding official translation;

4. Proof of payment of the tasa 107 (107 fee)

This documentation must be submitted electronically through the platform permanently open for this purpose, plataforma del Sistema de solicitud on-line de Reconocimiento o Registro de Títulos (platform of the On-line Application System for the Recognition or Registration of Degrees).
