Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Alto Amazonas (UNAAA) is a public academic institution oriented to professional training, scientific research, technological innovation and social responsibility at the highest level of quality.

It preserves and disseminates the Amazonian culture, integrates it as one of the fundamental features of Peruvian culture and promotes it as a heritage of humanity. Within this context, it cultivates the contributions of universal culture, especially that which means human development and quality of life.

Its main educational task is oriented towards humanistic, scientific, technological and innovation training, with a clear ecological, ethnic, cultural, business and productive awareness.

According to its website, “UNAAA is an academic community oriented towards research and teaching, which provides humanistic, scientific and technological training with a clear awareness of our country as a multicultural reality. It adopts the concept of education as a fundamental right and an essential public service. Made up of teachers, students and graduates ”.
