Dialogue with young people, institutions and civil society: How to promote the right to higher education in LAC?

5 December, 2022 hora: 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

The dialogue with young people, institutions and civil society: How to promote the right to higher education in Latin America and the Caribbean?, which will take place on December 5 from 13.00h to 14.30h (Caracas time, UTC-4), aims to learn what aspect of the right to higher education is most relevant to the experiences of students and the participating institutions, and to establish close links with the institutions that represent the groups of students who deserve equity.

The information gathered during this meeting will be used to complement the research on the right to higher education carried out by the UNESCO Institute for Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean (UNESCO IESALC).

In order to learn about the experiences of students who deserve equity and of the institutions that work with them on the right to higher education, we will ask as part of the dynamics of the dialogue: what aspects of the right to higher education are the most relevant in their experience, and why?

Who are invited to participate?

– First generation students

– Native language students

– Students benefiting from state scholarships

– Students from the LGTBIQ+ community

And to higher education institutions, NGOs and civil society organizations that support them on a daily basis.

The session will be held in Spanish
