ANUIES-TIC Meeting 2021

The ANUIES-TIC Meeting is a space aimed at ICT directors and managers of higher education institutions in Ibero-America organized by ANUIES-TIC and MetaRed México. It is made up of keynote conferences and panels of experts, dictated by national and international speakers. It has specialized workshops for training and updating on ICT issues. It allows to know and potentiate emerging technologies. It is assisted by the main players in the ICT industry. It is the meeting point for the exchange of ideas and experiences with industry, government and academia on ICT. It is also the setting for collaborative work meetings with national and international bodies on issues related to ICT and higher education.

On October 28, at 10.00 a.m. (Mexico time), the director of UNESCO IESALC, Francesc Pedró, will participate in the Panel “Collaborative actions towards digital transformation in Ibero-American HEIs”, together with Félix García Lausín of the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB) and Juan Carlos Navarro of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), who will talk about the collaboration of international institutions in ICT matters.

Jaime Valls, president of the National Association of Universities and Higher Education Institutions (ANUIES) and of MetaRed México; Arturo Cherbowsky, director of Universia México, will give the welcoming remarks and will make the institutional presentation of the panel. Cecilia Paredes, president of MetaRed Ecuador and rector of the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL) of Ecuador; Álvaro Rojas, president of MetaRed Chile and rector of the University of Talca Chile and Edward Roeckaert, president of MetaRed Peru and rector of the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC) in Peru will discuss the international actions of MetaRed. The moderator of the event will be Tomás Jimenez, global coordinator of MetaRed Global.
