Capacity Development Acceleration Fund
The SHLC Capacity Development Acceleration Fund (CDAF) is now open for applications and will close Thursday 30 April 2020. The fund will support a visiting research fellowship programme, as well as pilot research, knowledge mobilisation and research management projects, to help tackle urban, health and education challenges in neighbourhoods across fast-growing cities in developing countries.
The fund will strengthen capacity to address global challenges by enhancing and extending the core work of the Centre beyond its research team and case study countries.
The overall objectives of this funding scheme are to:
- strengthen capacity to undertake urban research at the neighbourhood level;
- strengthen capacity to use research to influence urban planning, policy and practice in fast-growing cities in developing countries and emerging economies; and
- foster interdisciplinary collaboration and strengthen a global network of emerging urban scholars.
Applications must relate to the core topics of health and education and how these contribute to sustainable cities and particularly neighbourhoods.
