Potencializando el poder de las bibliotecas / Observatorio de Innovación Educativa

Más allá de las dificultades académicas, muchas veces los estudiantes deben aprender a balancear sus responsabilidades, su vida personal y sus finanzas. Además, deben enfrentar problemas como la falta de acceso a tecnología y otros recursos para completar sus estudios.

Aunque en la mayoría de las universidades existen distintos programas de apoyo, en ocasiones son poco accesibles debido a que los estudiantes no saben de su existencia, no tienen tiempo para ir a los departamentos a pedir ayuda o simplemente les da vergüenza ir.

En un estudio realizado por Ithaka S+R y el Northern Virginia Community College, se entrevistó a más de 10,800 estudiantes de siete colegios comunitarios para conocer sus necesidades y cuáles servicios y programas de apoyo necesitan para abordar sus desafíos y objetivos de aprendizaje.
